Onway back to Kianggeh with full stomach

Today some 30 teachers plus students joined the short boat tour trip around Kg Ayer. The trip meeting point was at KFC (Kianggeh Food Court). 3 boat 'perahu tambang' was hired for this informal visit, so that everybody (especially those who never been on that boat) have an experience being on the perahu (and to let you know no life-jacket was provided).

Area visited along the ride:
#Jong Batu behind Istana (well known as si Nakhoda Manis tale, ala-ala si Tanggang).
#Went around villages stretching from Sg. Asam, Sg. Kebun, Kg Saba and stepped up on the walkways in Kg Setia Pahlawan (few houses only left in Setia Pahlawan catchment area, as mostly was destroyed during the 90's infernos.)
#Mini Muzium of Hj Mahmud's (showing all of his personal collection of old objects such as coins, dacing, vases, bronze equipment and etc), to get in you have to pay $3/adult and $0.50 for students, and ours was only $2 with a slight rundingan :)
#Pulau SiBungor and Lumut Lunting (which can be seen clearly next to Kg Pintu Malim. Pulau SiBungor is where women put or keep their faetus 'tembuni' inside a milo tin or plastic. you can see many of these things hung on the trees. Sometime they put in together with a pencil or book, coz they believe and hope that their baby will grow up as a smart human being. Lumut Lunting the small island which people believe since long time ago, that will never sink even when the level of water rises. It will sink when........
#Dropped at Jetty 4 of Kg Bolkiah A and 'jalan-kaki' towards the lunch-house (originally known as Kg Buang Sakar). Kg Bolkiah is a modern Kg Ayer settlement provided by the Government to resettle the people of Kg Ayer who lost their houses either from several fire tragedy in the 90s and other several reasons like their houses collapse due to old structure houses and etc.
#Lunch/Brunch provided at one of the Kg Bolkiah's resident. Traditional malay food: Ambuyat.

10 STEPS TO A BETTER MEMORY

1. Exercise regularly: Studies have shown that aerobic fitness may reduce the loss of brain tissue common in aging.

2. Stick to a healthy diet: Avoid sugar and saturated fat. And eat lots of antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables such as blueberries, spinach, and beets. The magnesium found in dark green, leafy vegetables appears to help maintain memory.

3. Learn new things: Mastering activities you've never done before, such as playing the piano or learning a foreign language, stimulates neuron activity.

4. Get enough sleep: Too little sleep impairs concentration.

5. Devise memory strategies: Make notes or underline key passages to help you remember what you've read. Invent mnemonics formulas to help you remember things.

6. Socialize: Conversation, especially positive, meaningful interaction, helps maintain brain function.

7. Get organized: Designate a place for important items such as keys and checkbooks. Keep checklists for things such as daily medications or items to pack when you travel.

8. Turn off the tube: Experts say too much TV watching weakens brain power.

9. Jot down new information: Writing helps transfer items from short, to long-term memory.

10. Solve brainteasers: Crossword puzzles, card games, and board games such as Scrabble improve your memory.

1) Apakah Yang Paling Dekat Dengan Diri Kita Di Dunia Ini?
=Orang tua, guru, teman & kaum kerabat... Tetapi paling dekat dengan kita ialah MATI. Sebab itu janji Allah bahawa setiap yang bernyawa pasti akan mati [Surah Al-Imran:185].

2) Apakah yang paling jauh dari kita di dunia ini ?
=Bulan, Matahari, Bintang-bintang.. benar! Tetapi yang paling jauh adalah MASA LALU . Bagaimanapun kita, apapun kenderaan kita, tetap kita tidak akan dapat kembali ke masa yang lalu. Oleh sebab itu kita harus menjaga hari ini, hari esok dan hari-hari yang akan datang dengan perbuatan yang sesuai dengan ajaran Agama.

3) Apa yang paling berat di dunia ini?
=Besi, gajah... Tetapi paling berat ialah MEMEGANG AMANAH [Surah Al-Azab:72]. Tumbuh-tumbuhan, binatang, gunung, dan malaikat semua tidak mampu ketika Allah SWT meminta mereka menjadi khalifah pemimpin) di dunia ini. Tetapi manusia dengan sombongnya berebut-rebut menyanggupi permintaan Allah SWT sehingga banyak manusia masuk ke neraka kerana gagal memegang amanah.
